BofA Awards $10,000 Grant To Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida
Bank of America awarded $10,000 to Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida (JA) to support workforce development programs and career expos, including JA Inspire, JA Inspire To Hire, and more.
The grant will go toward delivering JA’s workforce readiness programs to thousands of middle and high school students in Southwest Florida. Each program is taught by trained volunteers who bring their knowledge and experience into the classroom to engage students and teach the basics of workforce readiness and life outside the classroom. The partnership is part of a joint mission between JA and the bank to empower young people to own their economic and career success and to build a brighter future for our community.
Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida is just one of 15 local nonprofits Bank of America is supporting with economic mobility grants. The grants are awarded to nonprofits throughout the year to help tackle society’s biggest challenges. The first round of grants is focused on improving the lives of individuals and families by investing in health and jobs.
“Partnering with Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida is part of our commitment to creating real change in Southwest Florida,” said Gerri Moll, president, Bank of America Southwest Florida. “Investing in our region’s youth and supporting their future success demonstrates how we are taking action to provide the resources and support needed to help build thriving communities long-term.”
