Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Receives Grant from the Collier Community Foundation of $5,000

Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation. These funds will support capacity building, which will help improve Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida’s operational capacity, ensure it has the tools to operate successfully, and enhance and expand educational programming.

This generous grant will enable Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida to continue implementing programs that deliver measurable results in the community while addressing its needs. The programs are designed to provide workforce readiness to thousands of Southwest Florida middle and high school students. Trained volunteers share their practical, real-life knowledge and experience in the classroom to engage students and teach life skills outside the classroom. During the 2023-2024 academic year, Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida reached 27,285 students, providing them with essential financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness programs.

The Collier Community Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. Selected organizations receive grant dollars from the Foundation’s discretionary funds, which were gifted by donors who believed in the Community Foundation’s ability to mobilize resources to address the community’s greatest needs.
